Cuban Cuaba cigars in Dubai are double figurados, tapered at both ends, and at Habanora this collection holds two of them: the Distinguidos and the Exclusivos.

Cuaba was launched in 1996 at the Romeo y Julieta factory in Havana to revive a nineteenth-century shape. Its name is a Taíno word for a highly combustible bush once used to light cigars in ceremonies. Every Cuaba is made totally by hand with long filler, with wrapper and filler from Vuelta Abajo.

Choose by length and ring. The Exclusivos measures 145 mm with a 46 ring, a moderate sitting. The Distinguidos, 162 mm with a 52 ring, is the longer and fuller format and comes in boxes of ten. A double figurado opens narrow, widens through the middle and closes narrow again, so the draw and intensity change as it burns. Cut the head with care, taking only the tip, to keep the shape working as intended.
