E.P. Carrillo Essence cigars in Dubai are gathered here: a medium-bodied line made in several wrappers, which makes it one of the clearest ways to taste how a wrapper changes a blend. Habanora holds ten Essence cigars.

The Sumatra and Honduras versions each come as a Robusto (5 x 50), a Toro (6 x 52) and a Gordo (6 x 60), over a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler. The Honduras cigars wear a Honduran wrapper and are made in Honduras; the Sumatra cigars wear an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and are made in the Dominican Republic. The Connecticut version adds a Corona (5 1/2 x 44) to the Robusto and Toro, and the Maduro comes as a Gordo.

This is a line for side-by-side tasting. Fix the size, a Toro is a good middle point, and compare two wrappers in one week. Then pick the format by time: the Corona or Robusto for a shorter smoke, the Toro for balance, the Gordo for a longer, cooler draw.
