Forbidden X is what happens when the Fuente family sets aside the rarest leaf on the estate and waits. Carlito Fuente ages this blend himself, in barrels kept apart in the factory, and the result keeps the OpusX wrapper but not the OpusX blend. At 5.75 x 52 the Double Robusto gives that tobacco the format it deserves, and it is the black-banded cigar paired with the Black edition of the Les Chaînes de l'Amour case.
Profile: Full bodied.
Flavour Notes: Deep and layered, bold yet smooth, carried by the sweet, lingering fullness of the OpusX wrapper.
How It Smokes: It starts deeper than a standard OpusX, with a dense, dark richness that fills the palate from the first draw. The strength is there, but it arrives smoothly, without edges. As it burns, the layers separate and recombine, and the wrapper's natural sweetness keeps rising to the surface. The finish is long, round and slow to fade, the kind that makes the next draw feel considered.
Blend Details: Forbidden X is built from the rarest selections of tobacco grown at Chateau de la Fuente, drawn from the family's long-held reserves and aged separately in Forbidden barrels under Carlito Fuente's own hand. The blend is deliberately different from the standard Fuente Fuente OpusX line while keeping its estate wrapper. It is a Dominican puro, rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in Santiago in very limited quantities.
